Liver Transplant

A liver transplant is a surgical procedure that replaces a weakened liver with a healthy liver from another person's body. You can get a whole liver from a donor who was recently declared dead, or you can get a portion of the liver from a living donor. A split liver can grow back to its normal size both in your body and in the body of the living donor.
